Kachiguda has a good textiles business for economical buyers. This suburb is also a cinema hub with cinema theaters like Maheswari 70 mm & Parameshwari 35 mm (which is now being constructed into a multiplex), Tarakarama 70mm, Venkataramana 70 mm, Padmavati 35 mm and Kumar 70mm here.

There is a popular hotel, Tourist Hotel, which was recently rebuilt. The suburb also has good restaurants and bakeries which cater to different budgets. Student hostels area also present here. There is a very beautiful Shyam baba (krishna) temple infront of Railway station.
