In 1962, the FCC ruled that central and western Kansas was part of the Wichita market. Central Kansas Television then bought Wichita's KARD-TV and merged it with its existing three-station network. The group was renamed the Kansas State Network, with KARD as the flagship. KGLD was renamed KSNG in 1983 as part of KSN's effort to help viewers in its huge coverage area think of its four stations as one large network.

On July 24, 2007, Montecito announced the sale of all of its stations to New Vision Television

Digital TV

In 2009, KSNG remained on channel 11 when the analog to digital conversion was completed. KSNG increased the VHF DTV power from 7.4kW to 56.8kW on June 27, 2009
