History

The station went on the air as KZZK-FM on 1989-10-01 only 10 days later, the station changed its call sign to the current KORD.

The above data reported on the FCC website is incorrect regarding this station. Sign on date was not in 1989. As KZZK 102.7 this station operated a CHR/AC leaning format in the 1980s. Towards the end of that decade, it ceded the CHR market to then-powerhouse KIOK (OK95). It became a country station and has remained that to this day.
