 on December 13, 2007. The station was originally assigned a KIOX-FM call sign on November 15, 1990 before switching to KXGC-FM two weeks later on December 1, 1990. This change was also short-lived as the station switched back to KIOX-FM on February 4, 1991. The station would hold these call letters until the 2007 switch to the current KNTE-FM.
