History

The station began operation on channel 24 on November 16, 1989 as Portland's first full-power, full-service religious broadcast station. The station primarily carries the satellite feed from TBN, but it also produces and airs local programming such as Northwest Praise the Lord (religious) and Northwest Focus (public affairs).

As of March 2006, Comcast Cable TV does not carry any of KNMT's digital multicast channels, pending the outcome of legislation regarding Digital must-carry
