Up until December 26, 2010, KDUV was known by "KDUVfm" on-air. Following a month of Christmas music, the station re-branded itself as "Spirit 88.9."

Programming

The current weekday lineup includes "The Wally Show" on mornings. The show consists of music interspersed with news, weather, interviews, and listener participation. Other station personalities include Donna Cruz (mid-days), program director Jeremy Morris (afternoons), Tim Collins (evenings) and Dale Best (news).

The station broadcasts programs in the early morning: Focus on the Family (5am) and Family Life Today (5:30am).
