Signing on in 1954, KCIS was formerly known as KGDN, a daytimer station operating from King's Garden, former name of Crista Ministries. It broadcasted from the same area as KBIQ 105, now KCMS. In 1985, switched to the current KCIS and started 24 hour broadcasting.
