K43HW was a low-power television station in Albuquerque, broadcasting locally in analog on UHF channel 43 (28 Digital). Founded December 9, 1994, the station was owned by Joseph W. Shaffer.

K43HW was an America's Store affiliate until 2005. As of 2008 the station was silent displaying the color bars

SMPTE color bars

The SMPTE color bars are a type of television test pattern, and is most commonly used in countries where the NTSC video standard is dominant, such as those in North America. The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers refers to this test pattern as Engineering Guideline EG 1-1990...
