In August 2004, he became a special advisor, and in July 2006, an advisor to the President of the Republic of Serbia. Within the Office of the President, he is in charge of relations with the European Union and NATO, and for bilateral relations with European countries.

He is the laureate of the 1993 October Award of the City of Belgrade for Youth Creativity, and of the 1994 Tesla Award for research in the field of geography. He is a member of the Bucerius network of best young world leaders, with headquarters in Hamburg
