), was a German spiritual Initiate (in the Greco-Roman meaning of the word ), painter and author of many books.

From his various trips across Europe, many paintings are known; he was especially prolific with his landscapes from Greece. His major legacy as a painter however can be considered the series of spiritual paintings belonging to his books.

Schneiderfranken's writings were published under the name of Bô Yin Râ. In the small booklet Concerning My Name , he explained why this is not a pseudonym

.

His spiritual texts include a series of 32 books, named as a whole the Hortus Conclusus ("The Gated Garden") . He also wrote eight additional books, expanding on the series. He asserted his true life's work in these books, which were carefully written as a medium of guidance to others toward the path to the Eternal Reality. Each of these books accents on purpose from different perspectives, for the sake of the varied tunes and needs found in any human being, feeling ready to follow in the path of awakening.

Along the "Hortus Conclusus", Bô Yin Râ exposes himself as a rightful Luminary of the "Primordial Light". It is said how very few of them are born on this Earth, but they've always been present on each generation since ancient times. These Luminaries are hidden on purpose from the public eye almost with no exception, so to become able to help humankind as a whole in their spiritual awakening, indistinctly of one individual's beliefs and affiliations. It is said that Lao Tse and Jesus Christ were notable members of that same circle, but they had a special public role to fulfill at the time. The author hints of a similar purpose of his books and art.

In the "Hortus Conclusus", the following books are considered a trilogy:
