Angel Negro was a student film, Olguín filmed it while it studied cinema in the University with only a budget of $25,000. This film was released in the commercial theaters in 2000 with great box-office and a mediatic event in Chile by its unusual advertising campaign. This film is mixture of slasher and giallo was selected in an infinity of international festivales, was in the festivales of fantastic cinema of Montreal “Fantasia”, Portugal “Fantasporto” and the festival of cinema of Catalonia “Sitges”, among others. Angel negro was released on DVD

Soon in 2002 Olguín releases Sangre Eterna aka Eternal Blood, film of vampires with a psychological plot, that involves the world of the gothic movements and role playing games. With a budget of only $300,000, this film released the use of the special effects and make-up in the Chilean cinematography. The second film again of Olguin achieves success in the box-office. Later it received the Prize for the Best Special Effects in the festival of Fantastic Cinema of Malaga
