Jon Taylor is a football

. Taylor's middle name A-Mos was not his birth name but a nickname given to him by friends because of his lackadaisical and mundane appearance.
He arrived at Shrewsbury Town as a trainee at the age of 16, and signed professional terms with the club in early May 2010, after featuring for the first team sporadically from the bench in the second half of the previous season, in which Shrewsbury finished 12th.
He forced his way into Shrewsbury's first team in February 2011, scoring twice on his début and winning February's young player of the month award for the Football League. His performances and goals helped Shrewsbury to fourth place, missing out on automatic promotion by only one point. His performances were publically praised, and made him popular amongst Shrewsbury fans, who reserve a song specifically for him.
He is also considered a BEAST player in FIFA 12 by ksiolajidebt due to his pace and 4 star skills.

However, Scottish club Motherwell took an interest in the diminutive star, as, due to a loophole in the Football League rules, Scottish clubs can sign players under the age of 24 from English clubs without compensation. Shrewsbury were keen to avoid this, as it had happened before, with Chris Humphrey
leaving on a free transfer.
At the end of the 2010/2011 season, Taylor was named Shrewbury Town's BBC fans' Young Player of the Season and was offered a new contract with the club as his current one was set to expire in the summer.
