Gore received Tony Awards for Best New Musical 2010 for "Memphis" and Best Revival of a Musical for "La Cage Aux Folles"; Best Revival of a Play for "Boeing, Boeing" in 2008 and for Best Revival of a Musical for "Hair" in 2009. In 2010 Gore received the Olivier Award for Best New Musical for the London production of "Spring Awakening."
