 from 1927 to 1931. He served as a Vermont state court judge from 1884 to 1886, and 1902 to 1904. Weeks was a member of Vermont state house of representatives in 1888, 1912, and 1915; he also served as member of Vermont state senate in 1896.

In 1931, Weeks was elected to the United States House of Representatives from Vermont's 1st District. After serving in Congress, he resumed banking work. Weeks died at the age of 96 in 1949; he was (and still remains) the longest lived of all Vermont governors.
