Bickerton's best finish on the European Order of Merit is 20th in both 1999 and 2006. After 287 events and five second place finishes, he won on the European Tour for the first time at the Abama Open de Canarias
in October 2005. Nine months later he claimed his second tour title at one of the European Tour's richest events, the Open de France
.
