Joachim Bjerg is a Danish
professional footballer currently playing for BK Frem in the Danish 1st Division
. He is a central defender
but has also played the right back position on numerous occasions. Bjerg has represented Denmark on the under-19 level.
, Bjerg started as a youngster in local club Taastrup B70 where he stayed until he reached the age of 15. Recognized as a great talent, he was brought into the under-16 squad at Brøndby IF

He spent two years in Brøndby's Danish Superliga
squad without making his senior debut, before joining Nykøbing Falster Alliancen (NFA) on loan in the summer of 2002 - and later signed a permanent contract with NFA after a range of impressive performances. Under the wings of coach Carsten Broe
, Bjerg made 140 appearances in his four seasons at the club. He played an instrumental role in the team's success and was elected player of the year in 2005.
In the summer of 2006, Bjerg signed with Køge BK
, where he spent two seasons under coach Henrik Larsen
. During his spell at Køge, he was chosen for the start eleven in all 62 games and he managed to score four goals. In 2007-08, however, Køge ran into financial problems and as a result, Joachim Bjerg left the club in June 2008.
In July 2008 he was signed with FC Amager
where he played under coach Michael Madsen
. Bjerg played all 15 games before the club was declared bankrupt in March 2009. For the remainder of the season, he signed with former club NFA (now known as LFA) where he played as a starter in the remaining eight games of the season.
In July 2009 he signed with BK Frem in the Danish 1st Division
where he played all 15 games of the season under coach Christian Andersen
