. It is spoken with a low pitch accent. Juijiang speakers say "ngai" as a pronoun for the word, "我" instead of saying "ngo" in Standard Cantonese. As well, they say "hao" for the word, "好" but Guangzhou speakers say "ho". A few words differ from the Standard Cantonese. But generally, other Cantonese speakers can understand Jiujiang dialect without difficulty.
