The film has been said to "introduce the accurate mythological concept of the jinn to western audiences."

Development

A car known as the Firebreather was created for the film. The car was unveiled to the public at the Autorama in Detroit on Friday, February 26, 2010. The car was designed by Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad, the film's director. It's a modified 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro

Shooting began in March 2010, and wrapped in May. Some of the shooting for the film occurred at the University of Michigan Law Quad
