Jim Field Smith is a British film director, comedy writer, and actor.
, England from 1992 to 1997, and then went on to the University of Birmingham, from where he graduated in 2001. He worked in TV production for a couple of years before he and collaborator George Kay established their own production company, Idiotlamp Productions Ltd, based in London, UK.
