, Agnetha's husband at the time, had heard about the Swedish production, he suggested Agnetha audition for the role of Mary Magdalene.

The producers had a tough time choosing between Agnetha and Titti Sjöblom, daughter of legendary singer Alice Babs. In what was termed a compromise, Agnetha headlined in the role with Sjöblom playing the matinees and possibly headlining future runs in Oslo and Stockholm. The Première was February 18 at The Scandinavium in Göteborg and the five-day run set an untouchable Swedish record playing To 74,000 people.
