He then made a living playing second guitar, keyboards and back up vocals for Neville Staple of The Specials
, Chris Cacavas (Green on Red
, Giant Sand
, Calexico), and others.
He founded Makeshift Love Affair with Pal's bassist Ed Kampwirth and Chris Clawson of My Superhero and the Neville Staple project. At the same time Klopfenstein had been playing with Greg Parkin on drums, and Wilder joined the group, The Littlest Man Band
, and toured that winter in England; they released an album in September 2004 and broke up in 2006, as did Makeshift Love Affair. Since then Wilder has played briefly with The All-American Rejects
and did studio sessions.
His most recent band was ForceField On, whose first full-length was to be released in 2007. He also played with Isaiah Ikey Owens in Look Daggers, with rapper 2Mex. With former Teen Heroes guitarist Peter Berberich he made the music for the online multi-player puzzle game system called Skill City Games.
