) is a Pakistani politician who is also a Member of National Assembly (MNA). He was elected MNA from NA-195. Politically he is affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League (Q)
. He has served as Federal Minister of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives. Jahangir Khan's father Allah nawaz Tareen served the Sind police during Gen. Zia-ul-Haq's period of leadership. His brother Alamgir Khan Tareen is the Managing Director of Shamim & Company (Pvt) Ltd. Multan which is the franchise of PEPSICO. Jahangir Khan owns the Jamal Din Wala Sugar mills near Rahim Yar Khan. Initially he was partner with the Riaz Bottlers Lahore (franchise of PEPSICO in Lahore) with Humayoun Akhtar Khan.
He is a graduate of Forman Christian College
. In November 2011, Tareen left the PML and joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
political party.
