His brother Alamgir Khan Tareen is the Managing Director of Shamim & Company (Pvt) Ltd. Multan which is the franchise of PEPSICO. Jahangir Khan owns the Jamal Din Wala Sugar mills near Rahim Yar Khan. Initially he was partner with the Riaz Bottlers Lahore (franchise of PEPSICO in Lahore) with Humayoun Akhtar Khan.
