. He belongs to Bhartiya Janata Party.
BJP announced him as candidate for Lok Sabha election 2009 from Khajuraho seat.

He won the Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat in the 2009 election.

He is a leader of masses and has grown up from the very basics. He is the youngest of his five brothers who all are in the Service of the Nation.

He started his political career from college days and was elected College President. Thereafter, he became a Panch in his small time village Bogota. Thereafter, with his goodwill and helping attitude made him grow and he was elected as Mandi Adyksha, Chhatarpur. As the time passed and his commitment towards the people continued he was nominated by the Party to contest the election to the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh from the Bijawar seat of Madhya Pradesh. The other adversary were powerful and erstwhile ruler Shri. Manvendra Singh from the Congress Party and the rich and affluent liquor barons from Samajwadi Party. In the last round of counting it was discovered under mysterious circumstances that Bundela lost by a margin of 1500 votes to Congress Veteran. Thereafter, BJP elevated him to District President of Chhatarpur, his home district. In the subsequent election to Assembly the party reposed confidence in Mr. Bundela and decided again to field him against Congress Veteran Shri Manvendra Singh, who was by then eleveated as Minister in the present ruling Government. But the times were changed this time. Jitendra Singh Bundela's works were no more can remain behind veil and his popularity was on its maxima. Cheers filled the Rajay Niwas residence and the Bijawar Assembly electorate as when it was declared that the Bundela had won the election leaving Congress and other party candidate by a margin of approximately 30,000 votes. Thereafter there was no looking back. After his successful tenure as a member of Legislative Assembly he was nominated to contest the Khajuraho Lok Sabha which covered Full district of Panna and partially Chhatarpur and Katni. Bundela again came out with flying colours and reached Parliament of India. He is presently State Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides and has been recently in December, 2010 elected as National Vice President of Bharat Scouts and Guide. He spends maximum time in his constituency apart from coming to New Delhi to attend the various sessions of Parliament, official and party meetings.
