Heikkinen made his debyt in Finland volleyball league year 1993. He was seventeen year old youth player. He won on his first season in Raisio Finland league bronze. Same year he was in youth World Championships were Finland played history best result, 4. place. After season media chose him best newcomer player in the league. Heikkinen played in Raision Loimu seasons 1993-1998. In his last season he won Finland league champion.Gran Canaria
After many seasons in Finland volleyball league Heikkinen made professional contract with Gran Canaria. He was 22-year old. He played in Gran Canaria one season and won Spanish volleyball league silver medal.Kappa Torino
After first professional season Heikkinen made contract with Kappa Torino. There he played seasons 1999-2001. Last season in Kappa Torino Heikkinen won with his team Italy A2-Cup silver medal.Olimpiakos Pireo
After two season in Kappa Torino Heikkinen moved to Greece and started play in Olimpiakos Pireo. He won his first season in Olimpiakos Pireo Champions league silver. He won too Greece league silver. He did not continue in Greece after season.Cucine Ancona
After one Greece league season Heikkinen came back to Italy. He played season 2002-2003 in Italy A1-league. He did not got achievements on Cicine Ancona so he moved away,Hotvolley Wien
Heikkinen made contract with Hotvolley Wien. Season was success to him and his team. Hotvolley Wien won Austria Champion.Alto Bolzano
Season 2004-2005 Heikkinen played in Alto Bolzano. He did not got there achievements so he moved away there. He going to Prisma Taranto, but there was same thing. Success was`t good.Skra Bełchatów
After unsuccessful years Heikkinen hit gold. He made contract with Skra Bełchatów. There he won his first season Polish volleyball league champion and Polish cup champion too. He played his career best volleyball ever. He continued to team too year 2008 and successfully. He won again Polish volleyball league champion and was in Champions league third place. He has contract with team up to year 2011.National team
Heikkinen played his first national team game 17-year-old against Kroatia in World Championships qualification. He was seventeen year old. After that he is rise team soul. He made with team Finland ballgames history year 2007 when Finland was fourth place in European Championships.Personal
