10 July 2011. Janay was victorious over a strong long jump field to win the Birmingham UK Grand Prix event with a best jump of 6.78m (22.24 ft).

College years

2010: DeLoach (now graduated from Colorado State University) is still participating in track and field events and is unattached at the current moment.

2008: Janay DeLoach competed at the 2008 Summer OlympicTrials for the long jump. She placed 21st in the trials with a jump of 19–07.50 feet. For the second consecutive year, DeLoach has been named as the recipient of the Virginia K. Frank Award, given annually since 1976 to the most outstanding female athlete. The Frank Award is donated by the alumni association in honor of Frank's outstanding leadership and coaching during her 16-year tenure at CSU, where she developed and directed women's athletics while it was a part of the Women's Recreation Association. Frank was also chosen as the first woman to receive the Outstanding Professor Award from CSU in 1963. DeLoach became just the third female track and field athlete in school history to earn multiple All-America honors in the same season when she accomplished the feat in 2008 with top honors in both the long jump and the 100 meters, and also earned all-MWC recognition in both events. DeLoach was selected as an MWC Scholar Athlete and earned academic all-MWC honors. She becomes just the fourth repeat winner in the award's 33-year history, joining Loree Smith

She also attended the Pan AM Relays for the long jump in Brazil in 2007. Cynthia "Janay" DeLoach was tenth with 6.04m/19-9.75. She stated-

"I just had a bad day. The best part about this meet is that I got to come to Brazil. I'm so happy to be here".


2006: Redshirted the outdoor season. Finished 14th at the NCAA Championship in the 60 meters. Ran a personal best 7.31 in the preliminaries of the Mountain West Championship and finished second overall. Also won the MWC title in the long jump, winning the first five meets of the year. Broke the school record in January with her winning leap of 20–4.5 at the Modrall Sperling Open.

 record twice during the year and earned all-conference honors placing second. Qualified for the NCAA Regionals and placed in the top 11 in both events. At the MWC Indoor Championship, finished second in both the 60 meters and the long jump, earning all-conference in both.

2004: Broke the school record in the long jump, then finished second at the MWC Championship. During the indoor season, finished second in the long jump and fifth in the 60 meters at the conference championship.
