. This village is under ward no. 1 of Binodpur Union of Shibganj Upazila, Nawabganj. Jaminpur is closed to India with no interval of distance. It is famous for the Akimuddin Gronthagar.

Jaminpur has only one Primary School and a Dakhil Madrash. There is one library for all, Akimuddin Gronthagar. There are two Jumma Mosques and several oktia mosques. There is no Temple for the hindus (Only one family now exists. )

The 'Jaminpur Primary School' was established in 1962 four years later of Abul Morol's dream. Abul Morol and his two other friends, in 1958, dreamt to build a primary school. In 1962, Ummed Ali gave an area of 56 sotoks where the present school building is stood. In 1773, the school went under the government. In 1983, for the first time, Jolly got the scholarship. . It was established on 4 May 2008 to show respect a undermatric teacher named Akimuddin(1898–1976). Akimuddin Gronthagar contains a philosophy 'knowledge is entry'. The library was established on 4 May 2008. It has more than 500 books and other tools and papers. Within a year it worked very good with the student of science. Akimudin Gronthagar arranged three camps to observe century's one and only solar eclipse of 22 July 2009 on 22 July 2009. It has a team led by Jahangir Alam

It has a program 'a science discussion on Lavoisier and a science oration, knowledge is entry.' at Islami University, Kustia on 20 August 2009. With the help of BRB Cable Industries Ltd, the "total solar eclipse observation committee" set up observation camps at Bell's Park in Barisal, Akimuddin Library in Chapainawabganj, science and technology university campuses in Syedpur and Gazipur, Jahangirnagar University and Araj Ali Matubbar library at Dania in Dhaka.

Akimuddin Sir

Akimuddin, in 1958, for the first time dreamt for a school in his own village, Jaminpur and established Jaminpur Primary School. And with Kalimuddin he continued teaching till 1973. Late Horroj Ali established the Madrasha in 2001. Only Humanities is taught in SSC level. There is only one Bsc teacher named Md. Sadikul Islam. In the Madrasha there is a computer course. Mrs Farida is assigned for the post of computer teaching.

Communication

There is no High School in Jaminpur village. To study in school and college, the students of this village are to go to four km from the village on foot or riding bi-cycle because of the very poor road system. 25 years ago, during the government of Ershad, the villagers were given a promise for pacca road. But alas! Still today they are to face the problem. Then till 2006, the X-MP Mr. Shajahan played with them prayin votes promising for the road. And lastly they hoped they woud get the mark having the new MP Br. Enamul Haque. Again alas! Till today, no sign of road construction, no sign of hope. The villagers are frastrated about their rights. But they still believe that if government looks back on to them, their dream will come out.
