 system in North Carolina. The current head principal of Jamestown Middle School is Dr. Denise Richmond. The school currently has a student population of over 1200 students. Just a few years ago Jamestown Middle School added a 48000 square feet (4,459.3 m²) addition done by the Adams Group Architects to help handle the overcrowding. In August of 2010, Jamestown Middle School moved into a new facility funded by the 2008 Guilford County Schools Bond Referendum.

Guilford County Schools has announced plans for Ragsdale High School to acquire the former facility that housed Jamestown Middle School

The school mascot is the big cat. The rival of Jamestown Middle School is Southwest Middle School. School sports include Soccer, Track, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Wrestling, and Volleyball. Jamestown Middle due to its size holds many conference titles.
