James Pilkington is an English film director who works for a film production company called The Sweet Shop.

Biography

Pilkington studied at the University of Westminster Film School, then found success directing short films. His first short 'Pocket' won the BBC Best Short film award 1998 and was sold all around the world. In 1999 Pilkington was commissioned by the BBC to do a 10/10 short resulting in the acclaimed kids film 'Disco'; during this period James ventured into commercial directing filming tvc's for AXA, Playstation (TBWA) and a test for Volkswagen.
