James Begley

James Begley had a promising career ahead of him after being named an AFL Rising Star nominee in 2001. In 2002 he returned to his hometown of Adelaide to play with the Crows.
Unfortunately he was injury plagued and only played 25 games with Adelaide before retiring at the end of the 2005 season. He was nominated for CLEO
Bachelor of the Year.
Begley was probably best remembered due to a highly publicised incident with Byron Pickett
, suspended for 6 games for a hip and shoulder on Begley while he put his head down to pick up the ball.
Begley still plays football in South Australia.
