His first love is the stage, where he began his acting career in Northern California, and has appeared in several award winning productions, and has been nominated for and received several best acting awards. But now his current love is television, radio, and the Internet, and that is where you’ll find James weekly.

As the well recognized on-camera and radio host of his “where to go and what to do” show, L.A. Nitelife James Bartholet has become an icon of the nightlife scene. With long time relationships in the club, restaurant, movie, music, travel and event world, James is always invited everywhere to cover everything with his camera crew and has become a staple and a leader in the hip and happening scene on the west coast, and especially in Los Angeles and Vegas.

L.A. Nitelife and James Bartholet also realizes their commitment to the community, and not only run PSA’s to inform their audience on the dangers of drugs, safe sex practices, and drinking and driving, but is also active in several charity events every year.

James and the program, were also recognized by the City of Los Angeles with a proclamation by the city for his program and his help in increasing tourism and the nightlife in Southern California.

James Bartholet began L A Nitelife, the cable television program here in the Los Angeles area.
He also created and hosted the L A Nitelife radio program that originally aired on 870 AM KIEV, then moved to 97.1 FM KLSX, and to Newstalk 870 the new KRLA. All of this time, staying in the very popular Los Angeles market.

James also hosted Tonite With James Bartholet on the now defunct KSEX

James has also been an entertainment reporter and host for various national television programs, and several Pay Per View Specials.

James also appears in "non-sex acting roles" in several Adult Film features as well. Some of his recent releases include; The Real Boogie Nights, Casting Couch Cuties, Ava Rose Stripped, Exxxtra Exxxtra, the parody film J-Ho, This Ain't The Partridge Family XXX, Not Happy Days XXX, Not Three's Company XXX. He won the 2011 AVN Award for Best Non-Sex Performance for his role in Not Charlie's Angels XXX.

He is also a respected and much requested emcee and has hosted many events including Parades, Swimsuit and Beauty Contests, Premieres, and Awards Programs.

He has one son, Joshua.
