As one of the largest schools in Cumberland County, North Carolina, Jack Britt High School is now experiencing overcrowding issues. Development of the outlying areas are to blame for this problem.

Jack Britt is also home to the Integrated Systems of Technology Academy which educates students in the field of pre-engineering and prepares students for careers in these fields.

Jack Britt also excels in athletics and offers several different clubs. Jack Britt's 2007-2008 drum line won the state title at Cary Band Day, the oldest band competition in the nation.

Jack Britt also has an excellent music program. The orchestra has won many awards in the past and sends many students to the Eastern Regional Orchestra.
