Music career

Born John-Peter Hasson, Hasson grew up in Indianola, Washington

. In the early 1990s, at the age of 15, Hasson began creating and composing improvised comedy songs in his parent's garage under the name Pleaseeasaur

After a chance meeting with his musical idols, Philadelphia based satirical punk group The Dead Milkmen, Hasson began collaborating with the band's guitarist/singer Joe Genaro and eventually co-created a self-released full-length album during the summer of 1994 under the band name We're Not From Idaho.
In 1995 he become the full-time bass player of The Dead Milkmen side-project Touch Me Zoo.
