In 2004, J-Boog and Lil' Fizz started their own record label called Fizz & Boog Inc.

J-boog is the father of three children, one daughter and two sons, Anaia Jolie Houston (b. October 3, 2005), Jarell Damonte Houston (b. December 14, 2006) and Tru Carter Houston (b. November 12, 2009) with girlfriend Jondelle Michelle Lee.
