The administration consists of one principal, Phylis Montalto, and one assistant principal, Bobby Jackson. Irondale Middle colors are maroon and black, and the athletic teams are called the "Mounties". Sports include football, cheerleading, girls and boys basketball, girls volleyball, track, baseball and girls softball.
