Irish Universities Football Union is the all-Ireland football association which organises competitions between the Universities in Ireland. All the Universities compete as well as some of the Teacher's training colleges, DIT
and RCSI.
The main competition is the Collingwood Cup
. The IUFU also organises the Harding Memorial Cup for first year college students.
The Cowley Cup is played for by players who have not played in the Collingwood Cup. The Collingwood Plate is a competition played amongst the teams that were second in the Collingwood group stages and defeated teams in the first round of the Harding and Crowley Cup.
League competitions are also organised in conjunction with the Colleges Football Association of Ireland in the Republic and North with the IFA.
The IUFU also chooses a panel to represent the combined universities in competitions, internationally and within Ireland against other associations and teams.
