An example of positive intrapsychic process might be the development of higher level social skills acquired through education or specific social contact, like working in a corporate environment. An example of negative intrapsychic process might be stress over social responsibilities, conflict with social mores, conflict of morals, or a crisis of faith. A neutral intrapsychic process might be characterized by the aspects of ego integrity
