ISAD includes an online conference, targeted at people with an interest in stuttering, as well as speech-language pathologists and their clients.

In 2007, Central Michigan University

expanded the day into Stuttering Awareness Week, which extended for a week after 22 October.

Although many locales do not have support groups, there are resources for stutterers online and cooperative education groups that work with schools.
