The International Indian School, Dammam (IISD), formerly Indian Embassy School Dammam (IESD), was founded on 13 October 1982. The school is a non-profit institution operated exclusively to provide quality education to Indian children up to senior secondary level.
IISD, was established on 10 Oct 1982 with 250 students and 15 teachers in a few portacabins. Today there are 20000 students, 850 teachers, 100 janitorial members, 30 administrative staff members and a fleet of 70 transportation buses on hire from a bus company, SAPTCO.It is affiliated to the CBSE and has all the three streams – Arts, Science and Commerce.
The students have done well in co-curricular activities and have participated at the national level in badminton, cricket,football,table tennis and athletics.
Dr. EK Mohammad Shaffe is the current Principal and H.O.I. He is a recipient of President Award 2010. He was awarded the best teacher by the Indian President Ms Pratibha Patil .
IISD is one of the largest schools in the Middle East. The school is managed by an elected Management Committee, which is elected by highly educated persons and functions under supervision of Higher Board.
The managing committee members are-

The staff here is extremely experienced with teachers teaching for 10-20 years. The quality of education here is one of a kind. It provides not only education but teaches students social manners and in order for them to become role models for others and to become productive members of society.
IISD also had some great celebrities such as the [R.R] Clan which includes :-
1 - Junaid Shaykh (Bangalore)
2 - Fawzan Hasan (Bihar)
3 - Takmeel Jamal (U.P)
4 - Mamur Ansari (Delhi)
5 - Ahmed Matin (Bihar)
The school is also very active in co-curricular activities, sports (indoor-outdoor),athletics,crafts,debating,etc and has won first place in many interschool competitions.
Dress code:white and blue(1st to 12th std)This school has a canteen.The canteen provides everything healthy.Nothing like Pepsi,Miranda,7up is provided over here.The school is very strict but does not have all facilities like they don't have basketball for GMS.There are exhibitions held where students gives their best.
