Intelsat 19 will carry IEEE C-band (NATO G/H-band) and IEEE Ku band (NATO J-band) transponders. The G/H-band payload will cover the Asia-Pacific region, whilst the J-band transponders will provide Direct to Home television to Australia. It is expected to operate for fifteen years.
