IOR | Institute of Recruiters is the international professional body for both recruiters and HR professionals. Its services went live on the 1st June 2011. Its core objectives are to be the largest global body of its kind. As a direct rival to other HR and recruitment bodies it differs in that is combines members from both the HR community and recruitment. Another major difference is that it is the only body of its kind that operates globally.

UK Launch

In the UK, due to the word 'Institute' being deemed sensitive (by the UK Secretary of State)and therefore requiring certain criteria to be met before its usage allowed in a local company title the IOR began trading via its subsidiary (agent) UK company, Human Resources Management Society Limited.

Standards

The Institute of Recruiters has begun creation of a set of open global recruitment standards for the recruitment and HR professions lead by an alliance of industry sector partners.

Partnerships

The Institute of Recruiters has begun creating several partnerships to allow recruiters to experience an array of services from the recruitment and HR industry elite.

Lobbying

As part of its international remit, the institute has began lobbying government in order to bring about changes to laws that are of great concert to HR practitioners and recruiters.
