50m butterfly

She set two new Norwegian junior records at a Grand Prix event in Malmö on 30 April 2006. In 50m butterfly she set a new record of 28.68, but bettered that four weeks later at the Speedo cup with a time of 28.46.

Henriette Brekke from Vestkant-svømmerne had the old junior record with a time of 28.74 which she set at the Danish Open in Helsingør 9 April 2006.

50m backstroke

Ingvild Snildal set a time of 30.81 both in the heat and the final in Malmö on 30 April 2006. She bettered this time on 28 May 2006 at the Speedo Cup in Tøyenbadet, Oslo with 30.24

The Bjerkvik swimmer Katharina Stiberg had the old junior record, which was 30.83, set at the National championships in Hamar on 7 July 2005, and Ann Kristin Aamodt from Tromsø had the old senior record with 30.73, set at the Speedo cup in 2003.

100m backstroke

At the Speedo cup at Tøyenbadet, Oslo on 29 May 2006, Ingvild Snildal set a Norwegian junior record for 100m backstroke with a time of 1:05.91

Norwegian senior record

The junior record Ingvild Snildal set for the 50 m backstroke of 30.24, is also a Norwegian senior record. With this, she was called up to the senior national squad.

At the 2009 Norwegian Championships, July 11–14 in Oslo, she set 4 Norwegian Senior Records, lowering the marks in the 50 and 100 backstroke (28.67 and 1:01.65), and the 50 and 100 butterfly (26.24 and 58.67).
