Indiana Christian University (ICU) is a conservative Christian
university located in the Indianapolis
suburb of Noblesville, Indiana
. According to the school's catalog, it evolved from predecessor institutions Indiana Bible Institute (1923) and Indiana Bible College (1934), adopting the present name in 1940. In 1988 it became part of the Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Association (LeSEA Ministries)
of South Bend, Indiana
, and merged with the World Harvest Bible College in 1993. (This is different from the World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, OH.)
The school does not currently have formal secular accreditation from organizations approved by the US Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation, but it has approval from the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs for veteran's education for associate's and bachelor degrees. ICU has two main campuses in Indianapolis and South Bend, IN, and several extension campuses across the United States.
