Plot summary
A drunken has-been actor, Mitch Caroll, is pulled over and discovered to be covered in blood. During interrogation he rants against Jews and soon becomes a suspect in a Jewish producer's murder. Caroll had hoped to reenter the limelight and his suspected motive was being turned down for the producer's next work. While investigating Carol's house the detectives find antisemitic paraphernalia in his son, John's, room and the blood of the producer on the son's shoes. John confesses to killing the producer and Mitch tried to dispose of the body. It becomes clear that John has learned some of his antisemitism from his father. John, a minor, is charged as an adult for murder and the DA's office wants to also charge Mitch as he strongly influenced his son. Mitch is willing to let his son take the fall, and upon John hearing this fully admits his father's encouragement resulting in Mitch's conviction.
