Ikerrin

Ikerrin is one of the baronies of Ireland, a historical geographical unit of land. Its chief town is Roscrea
. It is one of 14 baronies in the traditional county of Tipperary
between the baronies of Eliogarty
to the south (whose chief town is Thurles
) and Ormond Upper
to the west (whose chief town is Toomevara
). As a landlocked "peninsula", it is surrounded on three sides by counties Offaly
and Laois
. The territory is currently administered by North Tipperary
County Council.
