Origin and recording
Band member Eddy Medora on the origin of the song: "I had a song called, 'Run Run Run' and Ricky called me up to come over and finish it. And I didn't come over. And 'Run Run Run' is the same hook as 'I Live for the Sun'. And Rick finished it, basically he wrote 'I Live for the Sun' with the idea of 'Run Run Run'."
