Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is a national agency of the Government of India
, under Ministry of Earth Sciences
. It provides ocean information and advisory services to the society, industry, government and scientific community through sustained ocean observations and constant improvements through systematic and focused research. It is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The director of INCOIS is Dr. Satheesh C. Shenoi.
INCOIS is also establishing a ground station to receive data from Oceansat-2
. It would be operational in April 2011.
INCOIS has 22 sea-level gauges at Aerial Bay, Chennai
