. In 2010, the tournament was held without a title sponsor. In 2011, Eagle Companies signed a three-year contract to become the tournament's title sponsor. Eagle had previously been involved as the presenting sponsor of the tournament.

The tournament is a 54-hole event, as are most FUTURES Tour tournaments, and includes pre-tournament pro-am opportunities, in which local amateur golfers can play with the professional golfers from the Tour as a benefit for local charities. The current benefiting charity of the Eagle Classic is the Massey Cancer Center.
