to develop the first 24/7 dedicated 3D television network in the US. Sony, through its U.S. affiliate, Sony Corporation of America, Discovery Communications, and IMAX each were equal partners in the venture. The new 3D network planned to feature content from suitable genres, including natural history, space exploration, adventure, engineering, science and technology and motion pictures. Children's programming from Discovery, Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX and other third-party providers would be shown.
