IEEE Technical Activities Board
Encyclopedia
The IEEE Technical Activities Board (TAB) is the main governing body for technical activities within the IEEE, a global, non-profit membership organization and the world's leading professional association
for the advancement of technology.
The board reports to the IEEE Board of Directors, the IEEE’s main governing body, and is responsible for directing “the advancement of the theory and practice, of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering
, as well as computer science
, and the allied branches of engineering and the related arts and sciences and technologies, and their application for the benefit of IEEE members worldwide and for the general public”.
