iBall is a privately-held computer hardware company headquartered in Mumbai, India that develops and manufactures peripherals related to computer. It makes peripheral devices for PCs, including keyboards, mice, CPU Cabinets and webcams. iBall also makes home and computer speakers, headphones, microphones, MP3 Players, SMPs, LCD Monitors, USB Flash Drives (Pen Drives) and barcode scanners.
iBall is known not to support any non-Microsoft (for e.g. Linux) OS for almost all of its product range (except 5 or 6 products).
Some products which require specialized drivers which are only available for Windows (or not available for a Opensource OS) include cordless mouse, USB headsets, All 'take note' pads, All webcameras, All laptops, All pen tablets, Denolite (Digital Microsope)
Certain products which do support a non-Microsoft OS are still officially said not to support them, e.g. their "Cordless Presentation Device", Bluetooth mouse (no opensource OS compatible officially), all keyboards, All Desksets (keyboard and mouse sold combined), Pen drive (very small USB flash storage device), Memory card readers
History
iBall was founded in 2001. Since then, iBall is marketing peripheral devices all over India. iBall currently has sales offices in 23 cities and 112 service center across India. In March 2008 iBall launch their networking products with naming iBall Baton in both active and passive range all over India.Criticism
